Shifter now supports AMP for WordPress by Automattic. This feature is now generally available for every customer on every site. Now instantly load Static WordPress sites optimized for mobile.

AMP is an Open Source project led by Google with a mission to improve the performance of web content and advertisements [i]. It works by compressing HTML, CSS, and JS in a format that delivers faster to mobile devices while removing assets it doesn’t need.

Enabling AMP is easy

Install and activate AMP for WordPress plugin from WordPress Dashboard. Select posts or the custom post types you’d like to enable with AMP and that’s it.

Please note that Shifter currently does not support AMP pages as they require URL queries such as /?amp. We hope to support those soon with an update to AMP for WordPress.
